Rocklyn 2020 inspection days

Due to the cancellation of the 2020 South West Slopes Merino Breeders Field Day, Rocklyn will host not one but TWO open days to provide buyers with the opportunity to inspect the sale rams prior to the on-property hogget ram sale on Thursday 10th September 2020.

The first open day will be part of the Elders Southern Tablelands Merino Stud Field Day on Tuesday 4th August from 9am-4pm. RSVP is required for this open day to Scott Thrift on 0417 660 260 or Craig Pearsall on 0428 253 103 by 31 July 2020.

The second open day will be on Wednesday 19th August from 10am-4pm. This open day is being held in conjunction with both Wendouree Merino Stud and Brundanella Merino Stud who will also be open on this date so that buyers can inspect the best genetics the Grenfell district has to offer in one day! For more information on this open day click here.

Seventy sale rams will be penned for inspection on these days, with full ASBV and measured figures available. Ralph will be on hand all day to answer any questions potential buyers have and guide ram selections to meet specific breeding requirements to advance flocks. Light refreshments will be available however, it is recommended that attendees bring their own lunch.

The on-property sale will be held on Thursday 10th September 2020, with inspections welcome from 10am and the sale commencing at 1pm. Seventy hogget rams will be auctioned, with both poll and horned rams available.  The sale will be held under shelter at 'Elon' 343 Barker's Rd Grenfell.

COVID-safe measures will be in place on both open days and the on-property ram sale. Anyone who has travelled to a hot-spot within the last 14 days, has been in contact with someone who has Coronavirus or has any symptoms of the virus should not attend the open days or sale. Visitors to the open days and ram sale must register on the day and adhere to social distancing and hygiene guidelines.
